A Great Day

Today was a great day! We had so many friends & family that came out to support J today at the Buddy Walk. It meant so much to us. We had those that pitched in and helped, those that played with our kids, and even a nephew who sold toys to raise money! We know there were some that could not make it--please know that we appreciate the support you give us, also!

If you are interested in seeing if your town has a Buddy Walk, or maybe would like to start one of your own, go to the website for the National Down syndrome Society (ndss.org) and click on the link for the Buddy Walk. You will be glad you did!

I am going to attempt to post some pictures. I hope it works!

What GREAT pictures! We are going to wait one more year to participate in a Buddy Walk. The closest one is an hour and a half away and the girls wouldn't get much out of it at their ages!

I just came across your blog from a comment you left on Pajama Mama's blog - I have a daughter with Down syndrome, so thought I would come over and say "hi!" Glad to hear the Buddy Walk was a success! The closest one to us (1.5 hrs away!) was cancelled this year :( Such a bummer! We'll still go to one but it's going to be a little over 2 hrs away for us. Oh well...we've been going to one every year since Kayla was born and didn't want to miss this year!

I come to you via In the Midst of It. I can identify so well with you. I just started blogging a couple of months ago and was sooo lost when I started. Everyone is so helpful though, and I have enjoyed it so much. It's nice to "meet" you.
