First Day of School
I actually wrote this in August, but am just now posting it! Actually, my hold up has been photos--I wanted to include them but my computer will not cooperate. So, here goes the post a little late!
The First Day of School
We started school recently. I have been sooo ready to get us all back on a schedule. It was especially exciting because Princess is starting Kindergarten!! On the first morning, Husband woke her up so we could take pictures together before he went to work. She came in the bathroom where I was getting ready, and said (rather sleepily), "Well, my pretend mom never makes us start school this early!" You must understand that pretend mom is just about perfect (I think mainly because she gives Princess sisters. Lots of sisters. And real mom (me)? Only gives her brothers. And a dog. That's a girl and has the title of "Dog Sister").
At one point during the day, J and Princess were waiting for me to start Math. I was checking the teacher's manual very quickly for something, but apparently not quickly enough because she looked at be and said, "I'm terrifically bored." Yes, she actually said that!
And then to end the day (which was actually a fun day, believe it or not :), she said one more thing worth writing. Unless, I have already put you to sleep, in which case you are no longer reading this :). She came to me at the end of the day and said, "Now, what grade will I be in tomorrow?" Of course, she was a little disappointed when she realized that she would still be in Kindergarten the next day and the rest. of. the. year. But, she perked up when she realized that her brothers would also be in the same grade for the entire year. As smart as we are, we are just not geniuses, apparently. I am sure pretend mom will have her in highschool by next month!
