Happy Birthday, Jonathan--our "Ten-Ager"

I cannot believe our Jonathan is 10 years old today!! The last ten years have been long, yet they have flown by too quickly. He, like all my children, has changed me for the better. He has shown me how to fully enjoy life, live in the moment, feel deeply, care freely, live simply yet inquisitively.




God has taught us so much through Jonathan. We are better parents, better people because of him.

Ten years ago, when he came out so quickly that we almost did not make it to the hospital, I never dreamed just how much that little bundle of beauty and sweetness would change me. He is living proof of God's mighty hand having a gentle touch on an unsuspecting family.

So, Mr. Jonathan, on this day that you have been so eagerly waiting for...when you get to

go to work with Daddy (a family birthday tradition :),

drink a Coke (another birthday tradition),

go out for Japanese tonight with the family (your choice of food for birthday dinner :),

and even get a "Frank" toy (your favorite character from the movie "Cars"--shh, don't tell it's a secret)...

We want you to remember that we are forever thankful for you. We want you to also remember that your Daddy & I will always love God, will always love each other, and will always love you. But even more importantly than all of that, that God will always love you! It is our prayer that you will always love Him and seek to serve Him.
