Princess :)

I love having a girl! There is never a dull moment...especially when you have 3 boys (well, 4 if you count DH :). Tonight when we were talking she told me she knew a Bible verse. Imagine how thrilled I was when she said, "Do unto others as you would have them do to you." I said, "Oh, Baby Girl, that is wonderful." She told me "thanks" and that she had learned it at church (we say it every morning at the start of our homeschool, but that's okay, it doesn't matter where she thinks she learned it, as long as she knows it :). But, just as I was about to BURST with pride over my oh-so-spiritual 4 year old Bible prodigy, she proceeded to tell me a couple of more "verses"..."If you get stuck somewhere, then your mom and dad will get you out" and "God will help you do stuff." Okay, I am not sure on the references for those last two, but at least I know something is getting throught that little head, and hopefully into her big heart!

Okay, one last one...I am on a roll! I just do not want to forget these things--sorry if I am boring anyone to tears! This past summer we went to see Travis Cottrell in concert. If you ever have an opportunity to hear him or buy one of his cds--please do so! He is awesome (and he is a NC boy :). He is the praise and worship leader who travels with Beth Moore at her conferences. As you can see, we love his music! We also love Mark Schultz (another great Christian singer) and have gone to hear him in concert. Anyhow, at the Travis Cottrell concert, he was a couple of songs into it. I was so excited, the music was great, the choir was great, the instrumentalists were great...I was holding Princess and singing along while we all were standing. I said in her ear something like, "Isn't this great, are you having fun?!" She said back to me something like, "Yes ma'am, but when is he going to sing Mark Schultz songs?" I guess you really had to be there to understand it fully--but it was kind of funny at the time!

I love the Bible verses that she retold to you and the story of Mommy and Daddy - too cute! We have 4 boys, so I've yet to experience the fun in raising a girl.
