I Love To Read!!

Some may call me a book nerd (okay, many do ;). Just because any vacation I go on requires that I take a bag of books and I always have a stack of books by my bed, does NOT mean that I am a book nerd. I just love to read! And you never know, I might have lots of extra time. Time after school lessons have been taught, work has been checked, diapers have been changed, the house has been cleaned, kids have been read to and played with, scrapbook pages have been worked on, meals have been prepared...okay, so my reading time is not what it has been in the past. But it is still a favorite pasttime :). I am happy to accept the challenge on the blog of
Callipidder Days . But, it is really not about the challenge so much as there are books I need to finish (because I already know of at least one that I want for Christmas ;). So, here is my list.
1. The Prince by Francine Rivers
2.The Regime by Tim LaHaye & Jerry Jenkins
3.Thorn In My Heart by Liz Curtis Higgs
4.Shepherding A Child's Heart by Ted Tripp
5.Views From Our Shoes (Growing Up with a Brother or Sister with Special Needs)
by Donald Meyer
6.Teaching Math to People with Down syndrome
by DeAnna Horstmeier
7.Teaching Reading to Children with Down syndrome
by Patricia Logan Oelwein
8.The Man Who Moved a Mountain
by Richard C. Davids
It may not seem long, but I feel like if I can (finally) get these read/finished, I will have accomplished a lot!!
Happy Reading!
Kristi

I know what you mean, Kristi - I, too, will feel a major sense of accomplishment if I actually finish the non-fiction books on my list. Thanks for joining the challenge, and enjoy your reading!

This looks like a great list. I've heard Shepherding a Child's Heart is a good one. That's one I've been meaning to read.

I cherish the Woodbine Press books on DS. They have been so helpful, but I must say that I forget about them sometimes. Think it's time I pulled them out and reread some areas now that he's getting older.

I know--that is why I am pulling mine back out again. It has been a while and I need to refresh my memory!

I loved The Prince! (I'm a sucker for Francine Rivers) I have a whole bunch of non-fiction on my list because those are the books I start but never finish. Fiction is my favorite, but I'm trying to be disciplined. We'll see what happens!

I understand! I have been reading so many non-fiction lately that my brain needs a rest ;). I love Francine Rivers. My husband had my son Jonathan give me The Prince, it has just taken me so long to finish it because I keep reading homeschooling books :).
