A Milestone

Seven years ago on January 11th, J had his open heart surgery and his heart was repaired. It was a huge day, a huge week...sometime I might blog about the details.

Today was his annual cardiology visit. Everything still looks great! What a blessing! In fact, we do not even have to go back for two years! I do not take it lightly or forget what we went through seven years ago. I am forever grateful to wonderful cardiologists, a tireless & incredibly gifted surgeon, a loving supportive husband, but, most importantly, a gracious and caring God. Thank you God for bringing us to this milestone.

I just talked to someone last night whose baby will be having his OHS on Valentine's Day--what a perfect day for a heart to be fixed! (She also said that on V. Day 2006, she heard the baby's heartbeat for the first time--isn't that cool?)

Everytime I see Addie's incision site I am so thankful that we are on this side of the surgery--it was so scary at the time, and it's so much better now! Congratulations on 7 years to you!!

Oh, and my email is inthemidstofit@gmail.com I seem to have misplaced yours! (Actually, I think I know where it is, but this is easier:) )

That is great news, Kristi! And so glad that Jonathan has progressed so well.
