A Return :)

I have been away for quite some time. There are times when life takes over and leaves you to simply hang on, one day at a time, and try to truly trust God. In March my mom had a heart attack. At 71 years of age, she had never had any known heart problems. To make a very long story short, she thought she had the flu. She was terribly wrong and her body basically had begun shutting down. My four siblings and I took over as best as we could and tried as best as we could to put our lives on hold, or at least in a much slower mode, so that we all could take turns caring for our sweet mom and being there for her. We already lost our Dad to cancer when I was in highschool and had seen our mom go through cancer twice, surviving both times. After being in the hospital for 3 weeks and then needing 24/7 care at home for another week, I am so happy and relieved to say that she is doing well. She ended up having five by-pass surgery and is now recovering beautifully.

About one and a half months before, we found out that we are expecting our 5th child!! So far, all looks well. I am now almost 16 weeks along. Although I still feel "gross" at times, it does not seem to be as bad as it was in the beginning. Dinner time is my worst time of day, as it was for all of my other pregnancies. This pregnancy is such a blessing to us after experiencing another miscarriage back in September.

So, that is where I have been. I think I will try to be better at posting, but I will not make any guarantees! I do so enjoy reading some of the blogs out there, but obviously time is an issue these days :).

I will write more soon!

I've been terrible at reading blogs--that's the part of blogging that seems to take up time for me! Now that we've moved, I'm hoping to get better :)

I'm so happy for you and #5! Caiden and I think Addie needs a sister, but Chris isn't so sure. We'll see . . .
