My Dream World vs. Reality :)

These are just some random thoughts I was thinking while feeding the baby this morning. Our schedule has been way off the last couple of weeks due to Christmas. Wait, who am I kidding? I think it is been off more than on since I had the baby! As a result, some things have been going on that I am really going to have put an end to come Monday morning when we return to the real world:). So, that is why I am calling this post "My Dream World (what I think is happening in my house) vs. Reality (what is actually happening in my house).

When I was nursing the baby:
Dream World- J & B were quietly and neatly eating a Pop Tart.

Reality-J & B were eating mounds of Lucky Charms dumped on plates(and spilled on the floor) in the playroom while watching movies.

While I was upstairs folding clothes:
Dream World-J was playing quietly with toys one at a time and then cleaning each one up.

Reality-My dining room table was getting polished with W-D40.

While I was at the grocery store:
Dream World: My wonderful husband was babysitting the children, reading them stories, maybe even teaching them to read, and cleaning the house all in one.

Reality: J&B decided to cover the playroom floor with popcorn and then quietly remove many items from schoolroom cabinets thus making even bigger messes, all while their Daddy was watching New Year's Day football games :).

While I was putting laundry away:
Dream World: J was spending soooo long brushing teeth, that I just knew he was brushing them thoroughly and carefully, each individual tooth. The door was locked to the bathroom, so I thought that maybe he was even flossing!! Oh, the mother pride I was experiencing ;).

Reality: Almost a whole bottle of V@gisil powder was being dumped all over the bathroom floor and counters, while my son was making footprints in the powder!

Is this one of the reasons why people are always telling me I should write a book about our life?!
