Happy "Dating" Anniversary!
Nineteen years ago today I started dating one of my closest friends. We had been friends our whole sophomore year at Liberty. We hung out in a group and had a blast! And then, on May 18th, we decided that our friendship was more than just "hanging out." Two months after that, we realized that our dating was actually love.
If anyone had told those two 19 year olds back then all that they would go through over the course of the next 19 years, they probably never would have believed it! They were too busy having fun together, flirting :), and trying really hard to grow spiritually together.
We would have been thrilled to know that we really would get to have those 5 children we wanted. We would not have understood, though, why we would have to go through three miscarriages. We would have been thrilled to know that our children would be happy and healthy. We probably would have been scared to death to know that one of them would require Open Heart surgery as an infant and have special needs.
Have the last 19 years been hard? Absolutely. Are we still best friends? Closer than ever, on so many levels. Do we still laugh together? How can we not? Our life is crazy!! Would I start dating him again after all these years? In a heartbeat.
I love you, Harvey! Happy 19 Year Dating Anniversary. In honor of this milestone, I think we need a date night :).

Thanks for the comment on my blog. There won't be a FIAR booth this year. Or any future year that I know of. Many/most of their products have gone digital so there just isn't much for me to "sell". I'm sorry about that because I think it really helps people to hear about FIAR from a person using it. I will be going though and would love to see you!
