Pantene's Beautiful Lengths

I have mentioned before on this blog about my mom being a two-time cancer survivor and my dad's battle with cancer years ago. Neither one of them ever lost their hair to cancer, but their cancer battles always made all of us very sensitive to it.

When I had our fourth child, I grew my hair and then cut it and donated it to Locks of Love. Well, once again, my hair had grown really long from having this last baby. It was in serious need of a cut, and I was trying to hold out for Locks of Love again, but still had about two more inches to go. I was pretty much just not going to do it, when today I found out about a neat program sponsored by Pantene hair products. It is called Beautiful Lengths, and only 8 inches is needed for donation!! Plus, it only takes 6 ponytails to make one wig!! But, here is the beauty of it. They are working with the American Cancer Society and, according to their website, actually DONATE their wigs for FREE!!! Isn't that exciting? There are rules on the website, including the stipulation that no hair dyes can be on the donated hair. Here is the link

If you have ever thought about donating your hair, you might want to consider this program. Here is a picture of me, holding my very curly ponytail :), with my new very straight (thank you hairdresser for your hour and a half of straightening my hair :) haircut! I cannot promise that I can ever get it this straight myself, but what a fun new 'do at least for today-ha! ha!

Kristi,

Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog! :) Unfortunately, the TOS Crew had already had their deadlins for this coming year's crew. Thanks for stopping by, though, I'll have to come back and look at your blog too...you look like a fun and wonderful family! :)

Kristi, you look beautiful! (And if I'd known about this, I could've definitely donated back when my hair was long; I think I got 8 inches cut! I'll have to remember this when I grow it out again.)
