Enjoying Family...Taking a Stand
These two pretty girls are my baby girl and my big sister (well, one of them :). Trey had another out of town game, so we used the chance to get together with my sis and two of her kids for dinner after the game. I love how Elizabeth almost looks coy in this picture! Her bow was actually in the car, but I guess the one on her shirt makes up for her not having one her head :).
Here is one of my sweet nieces. In fact, she is my first niece that made me an auntie on a cold December morning in 1992 :). I love all of our nieces and nephews, but I will take this opportunity to brag on this one tonight (I hope she does not mind ;). She went on a date with a boy Friday night. He had called her dad to ask permission; we thought that was a good thing. But, apparently it went downhill from there :(. He repeatedly took the Lord's name in vain and repeatedly used the "R" word. The first time he did, she asked him not to, but he continued several more times. Incidentally, she also told me that her friends know not to say that (ret*rded) around her. Oh, yes, and she let the boy know the next day that they would not be going out again. I am so proud of her for standing up for her beliefs and not settling for someone who would not be God's best for her!
