Three Days in our Life :)
On Tuesday we went furniture shopping. It was an odd day, as Harvey and his dad, and the "family decorator" came along. We took the baby with us. My mom was in town, so she watched our other four and supervised their schoolwork :). Like I said, to have my husband, on a weekday, and shopping with him :) was very odd! Below is a picture of what our couch will like. Well, not really, because it will have totally different fabric--but the shape and style are the same. Our old couch does not feel that old but sure does look it! We have had it for ten years. When we purchased it in 1999, we had a three year old mild little boy and a newborn who was getting ready to have open heart surgery. Naievely, we thought the couch would last forever!
Now, we have five children, not all of whom are so mild-mannered :), and an old couch with holes that are beyond repair and some not-so-firm cushions. I may post more about the room re-do when it is done...my poor husband has a lot of projects that have been put on his to-do list--not by me, of course, but by said family decorator (who happens to be the nicest, sweetest Christian lady who asks him to do everything with a sweet smile :).
Since everything seemed to happen on Tuesday and not so much on Wed., I will post two pics from Tuesday. After the crazy marathon of furniture shopping, we then picked up the rest of the kids and my mom and headed out of town to our oldest son's basketball game. He plays in a local homeschool league and we love it! Here he is (number 50). This is not a great shot of him, but at least he is in action!
Thursday was another marathon day, this one in the car again. Trey had an orthodontist appointment & his public speaking class. Here is Elizabeth hanging out with a couple of brothers. I cannot wait until next week to be back on our more normal schedule!!
