I am Back!
I really am not the world's best blogger :). I enjoy reading other's blogs, I daydream about ideas of things to post about, but then I never actually do it. It is very similar to the relationship I have with exercising...but that would have to be another blog topic for another day!
This summer, my husband & I actually went away to Atlanta, GA for three wonderful days of uninterrupted conversation! We celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary and it was so much fun! We went to see the Lady Diana exhibit and it was wonderful.
We went away to FL for the annual family reunion with my husband's family. There were probably about 75 of us and we had so much fun together (although the ride down was soooo very long). It was really neat to go down to the beach and talk with my husband's cousins and watch all of our kids have so much fun together!
Our biggest project of the summer, however, had to be the play we were involved in. Our homeschool group put on "Anne of Avonlea." We worked on it for a few months and actually had the play this past weekend. Trey, Jonathan, Rebekah, & I were all on it together. My husband helped build the sets. It was a great family experience!
So now, it is time for school. Except I still need to finish some grades from LAST YEAR :(. And I need to finish organizing our schoolroom. And I need to find a place for the school supplies that have thrown up everywhere. And yet, I want to start. I know it does not all need to be perfect, but I really like things to look nice on the first day (even if it never happens the rest of the year :).
So, I decided to blog about my progress and maybe even post pictures of the play and our finished schoolroom.
Wish me luck!
