Fall Birthdays, Part 1
Our Jonathan is 11 years old now!! After months of talking about his birthday, the big day finally arrived!! I do not know if I know of another child who loves birthdays more :).
Here is your life right now, Jonathan, as we know it:
You love your family. In fact, you regularly come up to me, sign the ASL sign for "f" and say, "Mommy, I looovvee my family!" Your family loves you, also :).
You love love mexican food; in fact you frequently ask us if we can go get "chips and dip." There is a favorite restaurant in town where the manager, Jesus, is always very nice to you. You told us that you might want to work there when you get big :).
You also love HoneyPot our dog. She has developed arthritis recently and is not quite as healthy as she once was. This is making you sad. There are many times when I look at the window and just see you laying on her/hugging her. You two have had some happy memories together!
You do not enjoy school very much, but love Math (especially when it is an "A" day--a new lesson start--and you get to watch the dvd for the lesson)! You also love the new co-op we have joined, especially your History teacher :). You told me you want to learn to read books like Trey and Rebekah. I know you can, Jonathan, if you work really hard at it!
You love your grandparents dearly and pray for them whenever one is sick or hurting. You also love all of your cousins, aunts, & uncles...especially your Uncle Stephen!
You love to swim!! In this past year, you really took off with your swimming and are quite the water bug :). You have improved so much that we do not make you a lifejacket in the pool anymore!
You love to ride at Wings of Eagles ranch. You horse is Honey (which you call HoneyPie :). She is a beautiful horse who really seems to like you!
You love to go to church. You love your Sunday School teachers, church friends, and the fact that we stop every Sunday on our way and get biscuits to go from Bojangle's :).
You love your siblings and Daddy so much. You love to play Trampoline Football with Trey and Benjamin. You like to play games with Rebekah (she is teaching you how to play Go Fish :). You like to protect Elizabeth Anne and watch out for her.
Your Daddy and I love you so much, Jonathan! We cannot wait for all that God will teach year this year!
