November Thankfulness

Tonight I am thankful for the friends that God has brought into my life.  We had our monthly Mom's Night with our homeschool group.  There were only 4 of us there tonight, but it was such a nice time of fellowship, encouragement, and good food :).   I was really encouraged by one friend in particular who reminded me that I am "serving" my children by caring for them daily; by doing this, I am leading by example what it means to have a servant's heart.  It just reminded me that I need to let them see me "serve" them joyfully, so that hopefully they will look for ways to serve each other and those we come in contact with.  My friend recently read the verses where Jesus healed a man.  Once the man was healed, he wanted to go follow Jesus.  Jesus told him to "go home."  Wow.  It is hard sometimes in this season of life, but I need to remember that my first priority, after Jesus, has to be these precious people in this house!

I am not sure if all of that made sense.  I hope it did!  I am so grateful for the friends I have been blessed with :).
