November Thankfulness
Today I am thankful for God's goodness and His Presence. I read in my quiet time yesterday in "Jesus Calling," by Sarah Young, "Every moment is precious if you keep your focus on Me. Any day can be a good day, because My (God's) Presence permeates all time."
Yesterday had some really good moments involving good conversations/attitudes/character shown by our oldest son (man, I love that boy :), my wonderful children's choir who surprised me by making some props for our upcoming musical, children who had eagerly memorized their lines, etc. It also had some bad moments, first and foremost when Jonathan decided one of Trey's fish tanks would look better on their little brother's bed (he is really into moving furniture right now--what is that about??!!), when I got too frustrated with a child's lack of obedience, a phone call at the end of the day telling us that Elizabeth's finger looks fractured after all. But, in all those moments, and all of the waves of emotions I experienced, God's Presence was always with me. Thank you, God! I want to keep my focus on God so that every moment will be precious.
