Closing 2010, Part 1
This year, I am going to attempt to print my blog so far to date. It may be a rather boring book to some, but at least I know my ramblings will be recorded if our computer crashes :).
My goal for this blog as I finish out the year is to finish birthday posts for the three children who have not had a post dedicated to them yet this year :).
This post will be all about Rebekah! Rebekah, you are such a great big sister. God heard your prayers for a baby sister and He answered! I love watching you with Elizabeth! You definitely love to have your own living "baby doll" to dress up, dance with, read to, and play with. She adores you and you adore her! I pray that you two will always have a close bond and that you will learn to laugh and embrace each other's differences as you grow up together.
You love to read and learn new things. This year (especially this past summer), you have really taken off with your reading skills. I love to see you love books as much as I always did as a girl! Some of your favorites right now are the Little House on the Prairie books. You also love crafts. A.C. Moore craft store is one of your favorite stores. But, I have to say, that you love almost every store, as you also love to shop! You were a good shopper as a baby and you still are :).
Even though you love bows, the color pink, and everything "girly," you still love to play outside and even enjoy bugs. Well, most bugs, as long as they are cute and not too scary looking! Ladybugs are probably still your all-time favorite bug. Spiders are definitely your least favorite. Playing outside and having picnics is definitely where you have fun with your brothers!
You have a sweet voice; we love to hear you sing. You enjoy piano; I need to teach you more songs, because as soon as I teach you a song, you learn it quickly and are always waiting for me to teach you more :). I was so proud of you in our Christmas musical when you memorized so many lines on your own! You really can do big things when you put your mind to it :).
Your Dad & I know that God has amazing things planned for your life. It is our prayer that you will use the creativity, sensitivity, and abilities He has given you to do great things for Him.
We love you Rebekah!
