Day 28
Kentucky has always been a state that I always thought was beautiful, and guess what? It still is :). There is just something about that Kentucky countryside that I love! We drove straight in to the Kentucky Derby museum. I had been in contact in with Liz Williams, a school group tour guide before we left. She actually gave us a private tour. Benjamin had lots of questions about the horse Secretariat :). Actually, two small tornadoes had touched down on some of the barns/trainer living quarters the night before. Fortunately, no trainers or horses were injured during the tornadoes.
For dinner, we went to a really fun restaurant, Lynn's Paradise Cafe. It was funky AND yummy :). Apparently it has been featured on Food Network. Afterwards, we drove about one more hour to our hotel and let the kids swim. It was a great day!
Benjamin recognized this photograph of Secretariat and wanted his picture made by it :)

Not much to report about what worked and did not work...just ready to get home :).
