November Thankfulness Day 1

I am going to attempt this again as I have done in past years. We will see how many days I actually write. But, I am thinking that even if I blog a few times about being thankful, that is better than none at all, right?!

Today I am thankful for being able to homeschool our children. With our oldest being sixteen now, I see just how quickly the time flies. In what seems like just yesterday, I was doing fun crafts and activities with him. Now, his days are filled with Chemistry & Apologetics & other difficult subjects. Not to mention work, basketball, & church. So, for today, I am thankful that I got to do so many fun things with him when he was a young learner. I am also thankful that I get to continue doing those fun things with his younger siblings. I know all too quickly that they will one day also be too busy and too old to make Lego owls and cinnamon sugar owls out of crescent rolls :).

Speaking of owls, (I know, I was speaking of homeschooling, but I do have some ADD going on I think :), here is a picture of what we have been doing. These are some fun activities that go along great with our current read aloud, "Owls in the Family." It is a sweet little book that our children are enjoying. The crescent roll idea came from my sweet mama who is in town this week. The Lego owl pattern was compliments of the Lego website and the pieces were compliments of the Lego store :).
So, what are YOU thankful for today?
