One Tiny Thing
Well, it has been quite a while! We are in our busy season. Wait? Who am I kidding?! With five children, it is always our busy season :). But, this month, we have three birthdays, a homeschool beach trip, our annual Buddy Walk, three baptisms, and a family party at our home to celebrate! So, things are pretty busy. Oh, yes, and still there is laundry to be done, meals to be prepared, a house to keep clean, and school lessons to be taught!
Our school year is going well. I am grateful that I still get to homeschool. Even though there are days that are hard (but don't we all have hard days sometimes), I would not trade it for anything.
Speaking of cleaning, I came across this quote from the blog "Pleasant View Schoolhouse" earlier this evening that inspired me:
"So what I do over the course of the day is tell myself, One Tiny Thing. Each time I go in the room I do One Tiny Thing to make it look nicer, or be tidier, or to serve us better.
Then usually by bedtime, I have laid out a trail of peace and order."
When I am feeling overwhelmed by this house that needs organization & cleaning desperately, what a great reminder to just do "one tiny thing" every time I go in a room. Maybe that will help some of you as well!
Carried by His Grace,
