Day Eighteen

We woke up, packed, and headed to Arlington Cemetery.  We took a tram tour of the cemetery, and believe me, the excitement was building to get back home!  At the end of the tour when we headed back to the Visitor's Center, we heard a loud pop that sounded like almost like a gun shot.  As it turns out, a tire had popped!  We laughed as we waited for another tram to come and get us.  Finally, we decided just to walk as were too ready to hit the road!

We were fortunate that we missed traffic and made it to Greensboro in around five hours.  We stopped there to pick up our dog and to eat with my family.  We got to eat with four of our sweet nieces and my mom.  It was so good to see them after almost a month!  Sadie, who was spoiled and loved on by my nieces, was still excited to see us and we were excited to see her :).

From the time we left Charlotte, Saturday June 28th until our return home, we traveled 3,837 miles! We stayed in 15 different hotels and stopped for gas 14 times.
