Day 13 2016
The only thing we did not like about our stay in Anacortes was that it was not long enough! We stayed at a hotel that, after checking in, the desk attendant asked if we would like her to grind coffee for us. She said that every room had a tea kettle and a French press. Oh yes it did. I told the family I just might stay, but they said I couldn't ;). Harvey just loves having his picture being made. Ha!
We then went to a local laundromat and did laundry for the last time on our trip!
Our next stop was the Future of Flight Boeing Tour. It was interesting for sure, even though we were all pretty tired from our previous day. The facility was wayyyyyy bigger than the Ford Factory we toured three years ago! The best part for the younger kids were the hands on activities at the end. The crowds had really thinned out by then. After Boeing, we traveled to just outside of Seattle where we will be staying for two nights before returning home. Below are our pictures from the day, we do not have many as no cameras or phones were allowed on the tour.
Here we are on top of the observation deck at Boeing. It is amazing just how many planes are made here each year. In fact, last year, over 700 jets took their first flight from this location!
Learning about carbon atoms...
Future pilots perhaps?
And for your enjoyment...the worst & cheesiest family photo to date! Nothing like a classy photo backdrop, a baby sister who likes to make crazy faces, and a mom with hair too big to fit on a real plane! Ha!!
