I'm Back...and with a Blog Product Review

I cannot believe how long it has been since I last posted on this blog!  So, as my introduction back into blogging, I thought I would start with a product review!  A few months ago, I was given a pencil sharpener from Classroom Friendly Supplies in exchange for a blog review.  I was excited to try their pencil sharpener for two reasons.  First of all, as a homeschool mom for twelve years now, I must say that we have gone through a lot of personal sharpeners!  Most of them have been electric sharpeners. It is frustrating as they usually do not last more than a year.  The cycle has been buy an electric sharpener, use it until dies, then pull out the little handlheld $2/in case of emergency sharpeners.  Frustrating!

The other reason why I was excited to try a new sharpener was that Classroom Friendly Supplies is based out of Pinnacle, NC!  Since my husband and I are NC natives, I love to support a local NC company!

We have been using the sharpener for a few months now.  Please keep in mind that it is not an electric sharpener.  I confess that there is a little bit of a learning curve with it, which made things frustrating initially.  The company was quick to respond, however, and I appreciate that.  They have helpful tutorials for mamas like this one who might need extra help.  Ha!  With Ticonderoga pencils (which is our main pencil of choice), it works great!  It gives a super fine point.  With Prismacolor coloring pencils however, a bit more care must be taken.  You have to stop sharpening it before you feel like it is ready, or your pencil will be gone.

All in all, I would recommend this pencil sharpener and this company!
