Day 1, Part 2 2016
After hours of flying, we finally arrived in San Francisco! We rented a minivan to drive our remaining three states. We were worried about space in a minivan (and no trailer :) due to having 7 carry-on suitcases, one "checked" suitcase (containing toiletries and an air mattress and pump), and 6 personal bags, but we are very comfortable and have enough space. Yeah!
San Fraancisco was beautiful and did not disappoint! It was a little rainy and cool, but we still got out and walked half of the Golden Gate Bridge together. It was beautiful. For lunch (and we were hungry after flying that many hours...definitely should have packed more snacks for the plane), we went to the Ferry Building Marketplace. It was full of interesting foods, flowers, and people! We decide to eat at a Mexican restaurant/booth that did not disappoint! Later, Harvey, Rebekah and I enjoyed the prettiest cups of coffee we have ever had and Trey enjoyed the strongest cup of coffee I have ever sampled! Ha! Our oldest loves him some strong coffee!!

We also drove the curvy Lombard Street which Jonathan remembered from his favorite Herbie movie!
So, Hot Sauce (Jonathan's nickname :) found hot sauce!!
Our yummy, pretty coffee!
Later, for dinner we enjoyed some really good, reasonably priced Chinese food. We enjoyed just talking. We have a birthday tradition in our family where we all go around and share something we love about the person having the birthday. Since everything was crazy and we weren't all together for Rebekah's birthday, we decided to do hers on the road trip. It was neat hearing what everyone had to say about our special girl. She is a blessing to us all!
All in all, it was a great day!
